Paige Wards wins Battle of the Border’s X-Treme Queen for a Day Contest in Dawson Creek!

CALGARY, ALBERTA – Dawson Creek resident, Paige Wards has won the EnCana-sponsored Battle of the Border’s X-Treme Queen for a Day contest. Paige will spend the day with top Olympic players from Calgary’s Oval X-Treme team when they pull into Dawson Creek to play hockey against the US Selects on Monday, February 9, 2009. Runner-up, Becky Chute will spend the day with the US Selects team.

Both the X-Treme and Selects Queen are in for an action-packed day. Each of the two lucky young women will have the opportunity to attend a ‘Meet Your Heroes’ lunch with the players, including two-time Olympic Gold medalist Colleen Sostorics. She will also have the chance to travel to the game on the team bus; visit the player’s dressing room prior to the game; and participate in the ceremonial face-off. At the game, the winners will receive VIP seating for herself and three of her friends. In addition, she will be presented with a souvenir package. Our Dawson Creek queens were randomly selected from online entries to the X-Treme and US Select Queen for a Day contest at www.battleoftheborder.com.
