The Estevan Bruins and head coach/general manager Karry Biette are parting ways. Assistant coach Chad Leslie has been promoted to head coach on an interim basis. He will share the GM duties with current director of player personnel Rick Oakes. Sean Garagan will remain with the team as an assistant.
Team president Jeff Pierson asked Biette to submit his resignation on Monday after the Bruins lost two of three games on the weekend to Weyburn.
The Bruins are currently sitting in 4th place in the Sherwood Conference with a record of 18-16-2-2. That is 13 points behind 1st place Yorkton, but just three points behind 2nd place Weyburn.
