More pre-season results and a regular season game today

Holy crap it's chilly this morning. The BB said it's 8 degrees and after the week we had that's cold. It was a brutal summer and this past week was great with temps constantly in the high 20's and low 30's. Forecast calls for low twenties this week and maybe some teens.

There's a video of Sidney Crosby kissing on old lady on the net that I found this morning. Ok, well it's not as juicy as I'm making it to be but go to NHL.com and check it out. Crosby delivers season tickets to a lady and gets a kiss.

Esterhazy travelled to Tisdale on Monday, August 31st and the score ended up in a 28-28 tie. The game was well played by both the starters adn the back ups on both sides. A great way to end the exhibition season.

Thanks. Reg Leidl Esterhazy Warriors.

Correction: League games in the NEFL start at 4:30pm. SaskGridiron.com will reflect this change shortly.

The Lumsden Devils kick off their regular season today when they host the Esterhazy Warriors. It should be a great game and Lumsden is one of the pre-season favorites. I'll be working tonight so I'll be following along on the BB Storm and will try to post some updates on Twitter possibly and a score will be available tonight.

(news article from notredamehounds.ca)

September 3rd our Junior A hockey club helped a Hound, Wayne Shaw, move a semi load of books for his book sale in the Golden Mile Mall in Regina. Wayne was a bookstore opener in Saskatoon,Saskatchewan and recently closed down his store to retire. It took the team, along with a handful of high school students, just under two hours to unload and move fifty thousand books. It was not the easiest job, but it felt good to be able to help out a fellow Hound when he needed help. Shaw graduated from the Notre Dame in 1957. He pursued his football career, eventually ending up with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football Leauge and winning a Grey Cup in 1966. The team enjoyed a delicious meal and swapped stories with Shaw at Nicky’s CafĂ© in Regina after the job was done. This experience helped show the team the tradition of being a Hound and the willingness to help other Hounds. The evening proved that once you become a Hound, you are always a Hound.
