Who Might Be New:
1989 G Riley Ross (North Bay NOJHL 18-3-1, 3.17, .895)…Consistent goaltender, veteran presence, expected to be the number one netminder.
1992 G Josh Thorimbert (Blazers SMAAAHL 13-14-1, 3.23, .912)…Back from Kamloops of the WHL, following an injury that prevented him from competing for a spot. He’s now in Kindersley with eyes on a roster spot.
1991 G Jesse Ehnisz (Moose Jaw SMAAAHL 20-13-2, 2.82, .906)…Laid back, yet confident. A rare breed, according to Larry Wintoneak.
1991 D Wade Zakaluzny (Swift Current SMAAAHL 44-7-2-9)…Has good range and nice size. He has a little grizzle to his game.
1990 D Shayne McVittie (Ottawa CJHL 16-0-2-2)… Tremendous skater, fun to watch. Expected to get playing time on both special teams.
1992 D Kyle Janzen (Beardy’s SMAAAHL 44-0-1-1) … Thick body, stay at home, nothing fancy. He keeps the opposing forwards honest in front of the net. He competes down low.
1991 F Jordan Barnes (Brandon MMAAAHL 39-15-29-44) …Good offensive upside, has a knack of scoring goals.
1989 F Kevin Clark (Schreiber SIJHL 49-12-34-46)…Final season of junior, solid two way player. Has an offensive touch shown in camp, a pleasant surprise. Rosetown native returning home.
1991 F Jordan Hoffman (Battlefords SMAAAHL 43-16-14-30)…Relentless player, Wintoneak sees him as a very good player in this league. Tremendous work ethic who won’t go away.
1991 F Jesse Mysiorek (Swift Current SMAAAHL 44-17-19-36)…Big body, up and down winger, good down low, has a decent touch. Protects the puck well.
1991 F Taylor Wasden (Sask Blazers SMAAAHL 43-5-15-20)…Pleasant surprise in camp, has worked hard over the summer. He’s a two-way forward, who has a little sandpaper to his game.
1991 F Ryan Benn (Spruce Grove Midget AA 23-16-17-33)…He was a top scorer in his league last year and brings finesse to the left side.
Note: A new defenseman arrived today from the Prince George Cougars; and if all goes according to plan, Kindersley’s position of strength will be on defense. Herle is not expected back, while Adamyk could resurface and would be a very welcomed addition.
