DAWSON CREEK, BC -- I was up and on the road by 7am this morning for Dawson Creek for what is going to be a 4 day trip.
When you hit the road that early in the morning there are two types of trips you can have: a) you can be tired and have what seems like a very long ride. or b) you are excited and ready for the day and the trip flies by. My trip was the latter.
I was on location this morning from 9am - 1:30pm at the Northern Lights College for one of the provinces signature Spirit of Literacy events all part of Spirit of BC week. I really enjoy doing these types of things for a couple of reasons. First, it is a great opportunity to get out in the community and meet some new people and second, they always put on a great spread!

I was also excited on the road this morning because tonight's NWJHL match-up between the Canucks and Wolves is HUGE. This entire weekend is just that. The Canucks now trail Peace River by a single point for 3rd in the league and time is running out. Dawson Creek really does not want to finish in 4th and play the Wheelers in the opening round of the playoffs.
There isn't much of a pre-game post tonight nor a playoff breakdown as I promised but we will discuss this during the broadcast tonight. Puck drops at 8:00pm MST (DGS Astro Paving Canucks pre-game show at 7:45pm MST).
See you at the rink!
