It's quarter-final action in 9-man football today. Here is a quick peek at today's games.
(5)Sacred Heart @ (7) Maple Creek
The Saints are said to be coming into this match a little shorthanded with some key players at soccer provincials. This could be a nice break for the Redmen but make no mistake the Saints have very capable back-ups.
Kick-off is set for noon and GX94 has the call with Craig Stein. I believe pregame show should start at 11:30 or 11:45am. You can listen to the game online by heading to the GX94 website (link is on the left hand side).
(1) Lumsden vs (8) Assiniboia
The Rockets boasted a strong passing attack during the regular season and it will need to be in top form today. The Devils are hoping to repeat as provincial champs.
Kickoff is set for 1:00PM.
(4) Foam Lake @ (3) Delisle
This should be the game of the week. These two teams have had some good meetings in recent years and this will no doubt be another one. I'm expecting this to be a close one and I'd set the over/under at 45.5 points.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00PM.
(6) Kindersley @ (2) Humboldt
A great preview from the Clarion's Josh Lewis is up in SaskGridiron.com and I encourage you to have a read. This will be one fired up Kobras team but the Mohawks are #2 for a reason.
