A decent start to the new year for the Kindersley Klippers has them solidly in third place in the SJHL's Sherwood conference.
Through the month of January the Jr. K's racked up a record of 7-2-2 for 16 points and now sit 10 points up on fourth place Yorkton with three games in hand. However, the team is still 9 points behind second place Notre Dame with two games in hand.
The Klippers took advantage of 8 home games in the month of January. On home ice this season the K's are 17-4-4.
Having a 10 point cushion is only good news for the Klippers.
Kindersley will play seven of their final ten games on the road and so far this season they have only won 8 times on the road (not including 'home games' played in Eston) in 22 tries.
If the Klippers ARE to gain ground on Weyburn and Notre Dame it can be done this weekend. The Klippers head out on a big three game road trip in Weyburn, Notre Dame, and Estevan. Three games in three nights will be a great test to see what this team is made of.
