Klippers game notes

The Kindersley Klippers (2-2-0) are on the ice tonight hosting the Melville Millionaires (2-2-0) at the West Central Events Centre. Game time from the WCEC is 7:00pm and will be broadcasted on GX94 Yorkton with the voice of the Mills Craig Stein.

Last game:

The Klippers are coming off a huge 2-1 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on Saturday night. The Hounds were previously undefeated but only managed a single goal as rookie goaltender Josh Thorimbert turned away 22 of 23 Hound shots. Andre Dommett had both Klipper goals in the win.

Melville is coming off a 4-2 loss in Weyburn but this recent loss will be felt for the next little while. A little donnybrook broke out and as a result the Mills Austin Krahenbil has been suspended 8 games for receiving a match penalty and instigating a multiple fight. Cody Hanson and Tyler Howe are suspended for 2 games for instigating multiple fight. The Millionaires were also fined $600.

Who's Hot:

Jordan Braid continues to be among the top point getter's in the league with 8 points (3g 5a) through 4 games while the recent 2 goal performance from Dommett has him at 4 points on the season. Josh Thorimbert will likely start in goal tonight after his spectacular performance against Notre Dame. The young netminder improved his GAA to 3.16 on the season and carries an 881%.

The Millionaires have been led offensively by Aaron Decorby (3g 4a 7pts) and Logan Herauf (5g 2a 7pts). The two have combined for 8 of the teams 14 goals this season. Zach Rakochy has been impressive between the pipes and has a 937%.
