As the title of this post would suggest this is a pretty random update. Random in the fact that this is the first time I've touched the blog in over 2 months!
Since then, Kindersley Klippers' voice Ryan Tunall has moved on to Lethbridge, AB. Good luck Ryan, you'll be missed!
=====
Klippers' coach Larry Wintoneak has been selected to be an assistant coach for Team Canada West at the upcoming World Junior A Hockey Challenge in Summerside, P.E.I. Barry Butler of the MJHL’s Wawayseecappo Wolverines is the other assistant while Rylan Ferster of the BCHL's Salmon Arm Silverbacks will take on head coaching duties.
I can't think of a more deserving guy that Wintoneak. Congrats!
=====
Team Saskatchewan dropped a high scoring affair in the sixth annual SasKota Bowl on Saturday in Rolla, N.D. The American team won the game 50-40. Lumsden's Brady Aulie, who had a pair of touchdowns, was named Saskatchewan's MVP while defensive honours went to linebacker Chase Tuberfield of Meadow Lake. Devin Sapara of Melville and Taylor Johnson of Humboldt also had a pair of touchdowns for Saskatchewan.
Next year's game will be held July 10th at Lumsden High School.
=====
You'll find a lot more high school football on the blog over the next little while. I'll have more on that in the coming days as I put the finishing touches on a project I've been working on. I'm excited.
That's all for now.
