SEXSMITH, AB -- A four point night from Colter McLean and a Jason Higson hat trick help the Canucks earn their second straight win to start 2009.
Colter McLean had a goal and three helpers as the Canucks beat the hometown Sexsmith Vipers 9-4 Friday night. In the 5th and final meeting between the two teams this season, Dawson Creek got on the board first. It was the first time in the season series in which the Vipers hadn't got the games first goal.
Charles Radke also had a strong night with a pair of goals and an assist and Jason Higson continued his hot play with a three goal night.
The Canucks will look to win their third straight game Saturday night when they travel to Beaverlodge.
