Tyson York was between the pipes Saturday night as the Canucks shut out the Navigators on home ice.
The scoring opened midway through the first at the 11:18 mark when Ryan Walker (Colter McLean, Charles Radke) put his fourth of the season past Tavis Clark. It was a great second effort for the veteran forward to get the puck past Clark and give the Canucks the lead.
In the second Jason Higson continued his hot play by putting home an absolutely beautiful pass from Carl Dahlen past Clark stretch the lead. Higson now has points in four straight games (3G 3A).
Tyson York was solid throughout the game and it was not more important than in the third when the Nav's had a 5 on 3 power play for just over a minute. York made several great saves including one on a Navigator all alone inside the hashmarks.
Charles Radke added a pair of goals in the final frame to cement the victory for the Canucks. The Canucks went 1 for 5 with the extra man while the penalty kill was a perfect 8 for 8.
