The Nipiwan Hawks continue to search for a head coach after Dave Hyrsky was released from his contractual oblications earlier this week. SJHL.ca reported that Hyrsky was unable to fulfill his duties due to personal commitments he had in Europe.

Assistant Coach and interm GM Dwight Kulchysky has taken over the reins for now but sources say he has NOT applied for the position and has no interest in it. Look for an announcement on this in the next 2 weeks.
